crystalxp Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 HI there , i'm trying to slipstream office-12 2006 using the instructions in this link http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/45/ but every time i run the command I:\SETUP.EXE /a i get CATALYST HELP small WINDOW ... ? BUT WHEN I DON'T use the " /a " it starts a normal installation ...so is it ok to continue without the /a switch and would this just serve the point of copying the office to the target right? the link mentioned : Quote: After clicking on Next, accept the EULA and then the installation will start. Since we executed Setup with the /a parameter its only copying files to the Install Location you specified to create an Administrative Installation Point, not installing Office to the system. i have tried to uninstall office completely and removed every office folder in my system still no luck ...same small window shows with the /a switch...i also reboot and cleaned the registry with registry mechanic to remove every trace to it still no luck.... please help have any one had this problem with office-12? is there any other way to do that?any clue?
Sonic Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Uninstall your catalyst drivers. Office use MSI engine to install and Catalyst too (and many other programs), I think the install of your catalyst has had a problem.
nmX.Memnoch Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 The Office 12 beta uses a completely different method for doing admin installs. Logon to the MS Beta site and download the Office 12 documentation to see how the admin install method is supposed to work for Office 12.
