Aegis
Wondering two things. How long does it take for an average person to learn Maya starting with no knowledge of 3D? And how long would it take to produce a 2-3 minute 3D movie (excluding render time), assuming one was familiar with Maya and any other tools needed. JasonGW
You can learn maya's *Basics* in a few hours, really. 3DBuzz has some good free tutorials (video) you can download that will help you get started. You could also buy Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD edition or the Editor's Choice edition and get a DVD FILLED with tutorials, most of which focus on Maya and UT2004.The weekend of February 17th-19th I worked with my team, Ugly Baby Studios, to produce a 3 minute, 25 second animated film for the A3F 2006 film festival. We finished the film including animation and rendering (not including modeling and texturing, which we did in advance) in less than 48 hours.Jason
harunaksoy
I think you better start with 3Ds Max or Cinema 4D because they're easier to learn, at least for me they are
