PROPHET Posted February 4, 2006 Share Posted February 4, 2006 (edited) Hi people ive ran into a brick wall ive got my SuperCd looking cool, ive changed all the icons that i want to change within the following .DLL files..shell32.dll,shimgvw.dll & mydocs.dll my prob is for the life of me i cant find what .DLL file contains the icon for My Computer ive looked everywhere. ive changed the default yellow folders, all the icons in my comp & a few others but cant find the correct file for the actual My Computer icon thats displayedthankz in advanceIts ok i found the bloody thing in icons 16 and icon groups 119 thankz anyway Edited February 4, 2006 by PROPHET Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And yeah I will not invent 2 times the same wheel. (a dutch saying) So if you could just tell me in which file they are located you would help me a lot.Thank you. PROPHET Posted February 6, 2006 Author Share Posted February 6, 2006 thats a bit gay really i dont mind moddifying windows dll files cos they can be put back onto the disk but the idea of messin around with explorer.exe is abit s*** cos id need that to be copied over in the $$ on install i dont suppose you no what cab file the explorer.exe resides in so i can edit it run it through modifype and put it back to be installed with xp Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyway, extract explorer.exe from i386\explorer.ex_ , modify it with Resource Hacker, run modpe on it and then recab with makecab and put back in i386 overwriting the original one.
