Kjartan Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 If you don't mind me asking, why the /VERYSILENT?
coconut Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 so you dont get the install wizard. it just installs in background with default values, useful when making unattended windows cd, or to install it very quickly
MCT Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 yep what coconut said is correct, for more info look here:http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/39/
Halfwalker Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Hrm - missing a file msinet.ocx. I hit this when clicking on Download Latest Protection UpdatesAlso, the install seems to just copy the files to c:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster. No Start Menu shortcuts are made or anything.D.
coconut Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 try this one Halfwalker: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=64269
Halfwalker Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Yup - I just saw that one a little while ago. That works fine.D.
MCT Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 @Halfwalker i didnt add the runtime files cuz most have them installed seperate, so its just a waste of space (almost 1MB)start menu shortcuts work ok 4 me
MHz Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 @Halfwalker i didnt add the runtime files cuz most have them installed seperate, so its just a waste of space (almost 1MB)MCT, What is the entry level and recommendations for this installer ? I have XP Pro and I do not have msinet.ocx in the system directory. The other runtime files are not native to a XP install either when you compare with the I386 source directory. I highly doubt that it is a waste of space when the runtime files are needed.
