darktemplar31 Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 I was wondering if there was a way to import many third-party applications's registration information automatically from the unattended windows installation.
Doc Symbiosis Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 What do you exactly mean by registration information?
glent Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Im guessing your mean serials etc for programs. http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/17/
Vadikan Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 (edited) @darktemplar31There's no generic solution for all apps. If the application stores the registration info in the registry, like Nero, then the *.REG file is the way to go. Sometimes you can specify the registration key as a switch (e.g. MSI can accept /PIDKEY="key_digits_here", if the installer had been configured accordingly). Some applications may look for a certain file in a certain directory. Then you have to place the file where it needs to be (xcopy, OEM folders, etc) Edited December 31, 2005 by Vadikan
