There's no generic solution for all apps.

If the application stores the registration info in the registry, like Nero, then the *.REG file is the way to go.

Sometimes you can specify the registration key as a switch (e.g. MSI can accept /PIDKEY="key_digits_here", if the installer had been configured accordingly).

Some applications may look for a certain file in a certain directory. Then you have to place the file where it needs to be (xcopy, OEM folders, etc)
