Woomera Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 how can i hide specific drives in my computer for diffrent users?
Synapse Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 (edited) http://www.internetfixes.com/weekly_news_l...ndows_ne_75.htmthat will hide the drives, but they wil still be able to access them if they go to run -> G: or any other drive letter. and dos will be able to see the drives as well.i have my family account on my computer set up like that so my family doesn't go searchin through my backup harddrive.... and find all my "stuff".....by the way... you gotta log on to the other account to do this.. since this key is for "Hkey_Current_user" unless you have XP Pro then this looks to be the only way... if you have xppro, there may be a section in gpedit that will allow you to block it. Takeshi Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Logon as admin and loading the specific user's hive to edit it might be a workaround instead of logging into each user's account.
