skedeebs Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Folks-Please pardon the interruption on a high-powered discussion. I am trying to set my laptop up for wireless access. The software for my wireless adapter card needs IE 5.5 or higher. I have IE 5.0 for a Windows 2000 OS. I am trying and failing to find a later version of IE (probably have to get 6 at this point) that I can install on the laptop without connecting to the internet first (chicken and egg problem- without the software I can't connect). The Microsoft download site can give me the service pack, but I need to be connected to have that update my software. WHere do I go to get a full version that I can transfer on CD from my desktop to use to update my laptop.Thanks- this is driving me nuts, and e-mail would be appreciated.Kevin Costello
