gdogg Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I am on the 9X multi, I cant even get 20Mhz more atm, maybe a new bios will fix it, maybe just some quality burn-ins ...
gdogg Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 sorry for double post, but figured no one would know I posted otherwise.I got my cpu upto 2.75 with a little bit of tweaking and burn-ins on the cpu.hoping to get 2.8 but, getting there, will take time it seems, almost at the 1Ghz oc mark now
ripken204 Posted February 17, 2006 Author Posted February 17, 2006 i told you that you could get over 2.7 are you running dual primes to check your stability?
Clint Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Got this after a brief session on my newly arrived 170'er:
ripken204 Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 those new stepping are really great. im stuck with a dud pretty much. you should also run that overnight to make sure its good, but so far its looking good.
ripken204 Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 we need some proccessor equality laws, either i should get a cpu that can overclock to 3ghz or they can arrest Clint
gdogg Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 lolwho says you cant get 2.8, just add some water, maybe 2.91 with compressor.
Clint Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 This is the highest I will go on air:..only 1 hour..I know...also "cheating" in 10C ambient. In the process of ordering water, then we gonna do some serious volting/clocks
Subcodec Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I'm looking at getting an opteron 170 dual core myself and I was wonder what would be some good memory. I don't plan on going for a huge overclock as I'd like to stay with the stock cooler. From what I've read, I should get roughly 2.5 ghz fairly easy, even with the stock cooler. So far, I'm looking at getting 2 gigs of Patriot PC3200 memory that has an advertised rating of 2-3-2-5 at 2.6v. Should that work ok? I'd like to stay with Patriot as I've had really good luck with their memory.
ripken204 Posted March 7, 2006 Author Posted March 7, 2006 well do u want to overclock the ram, if u dont then dont get patriot. ocz, geil, and mushkin are all great overclockers. if u dont want to overclock the ram that it doesnt matter(patriot).
