It could be that they use XPDE if they base it on linux...

Could be, but xpde is still in alpha-stage! No real functionality other than the "on the surface" tasks....

They probably use KDE 3.5 that can be made to look like XP.

But rather, first we'd like to know if its linux at all.

And if its linux, why aint they saying so!!!!

It has to be Linux. There is no other alternative OS I can see that would be suitable for a situation like this is there?

well i did a search and found out that it's not "NEW ALTERNATIVE OS", it's actually not linux either, it's BSD.
