Error "Remove Xpize Source.exe"

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just wanted to tell you that there might be an error with the "Remove xpize source.exe" files which is left behind when you choose to uninstall xpize 4.1 MCE.

It won't uninstall or remove itself after the required restart, and must therefore be removed manually. But the problem is that it also adds a couple of fields in the registry, under "PendingFileRenameOperations".

That last one causes problems for MSI installers (not sure if this is case with all MSI installers) which checks to see if "PendingFileRenameOperations" exists. In order to get the installers to work again you would have to go into regedit and remove the field by yourself, meaning that people with less technical skills won't be able to do it, and most probably: they even doon't know what's causing the error. :)

Could this issue be fixed?

Thanks!

Best regards

Kristoffer

If you reboot after installing XPize, you wont face any problems with it. ALso, remove xpize source.exe is delete itsself in the second reboot after uninstallation. XPize is has very clean uninstaller ;)
