deepc Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 I'm just thinking about a posibility to install a Windows over Network with a Linux Boot CD.My idea is to use a live cd, create a ram disk, link a share from any server with the windows install cd,create the answerfile with a little comand promt tool in linux and start the installation in a virtual environment.Do you think this is posible?
EchoNoise Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 uhm... why would you need to use linux to install windows over a network, you can do it from any windows box!I haven't done it myself, but i know it can be done... i think its something to do with RISCorrect me if I'm wrong @Gouki: There is no linux category, so its kinda hard to place where this linux-type question goes... Just like the Ubuntu one before this...
Gouki Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 UndeadSoldier ... His question is about Network Installation for Windows. Thats Windows related, using Linux is just a middle for an end.Take care!
