jfmartel Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 (edited) Hello,I'm trying to get an unattended installation of the new Eudora 7.I've tried so far two solution: the autoit and the answer file created with the "-r" switchHere is my setup.iss file:[installShield Silent]Version=v7.00File=Response File[File Transfer]OverwrittenReadOnly=NoToAll[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-DlgOrder]Dlg0={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdLicense-0Count=9Dlg1={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdComponentTree-0Dlg2={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-DialogId_12005-0Dlg3={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-ChooseDataFolderDialog-0Dlg4={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdDisplayTopics-0Dlg5={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-AskYesNo-0Dlg6={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdShowDlgEdit1-0Dlg7={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdFinish-0Dlg8={4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdFinishReboot-0[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdLicense-0]Result=1[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdComponentTree-0]szDir=C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\EudoraEudora-type=stringEudora-count=11Eudora-0=Eudora\Shared_DLLsEudora-1=Eudora\pluginsEudora-2=Eudora\Program_FilesEudora-3=Eudora\NicknameEudora-4=Eudora\commonEudora-5=Eudora\extrastuffEudora-6=Eudora\INI_FilesEudora-7=Eudora\EmoticonsEudora-8=Eudora\Emoticons24Eudora-9=Eudora\Emoticons32Eudora-10=Eudora\RootCertsComponent-type=stringComponent-count=2Component-0=EudoraComponent-1=ImportersResult=1[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-DialogId_12005-0]szDir=C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-ChooseDataFolderDialog-0]nCustomDataDir=1szDataDir=C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdDisplayTopics-0]Result=1[Application]Name=EudoraVersion=7.0Company=QUALCOMM IncorporatedLang=0009[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-AskYesNo-0]Result=1[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdShowDlgEdit1-0]szEdit1=EudoraResult=1[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdFinish-0]Result=1bOpt1=0bOpt2=0[{4A11D31F-9403-40B9-A0FB-F64D50918719}-SdFinishReboot-0]Result=1BootOption=0Now the problem with both installation process (autoit and answer file) is that the installation does not create the mail folder is the user profile (application data folder). It create the mailboxes in the installation program file (i.e. c:\program files\qualcomm\eudora), wich is annoying because our system use a lot of profile on the same computer.I'd like to know also how ti integrate how serial/licence code in it too. Thanks all for your help! estevens Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Any solution found for this yet? I'm trying to accomplish the same feat, including the registration as well.
jfmartel Posted December 7, 2005 Author Posted December 7, 2005 No. I passed this one for now... working on other installation. Are you working with GPO?
