Ghostrider Posted November 22, 2005 Share Posted November 22, 2005 (edited) Try this..First, create a whole new key: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control \ StorageDevicePolicies.Then create a REG_DWORD entry in it called WriteProtect. cluberti Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 As a previous poster stated, you will need to create the following registry value:Key: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePoliciesValue: WriteProtectType: REG_DWORDValue: 1This key will not exist, so you will have to create it yourself to enable the write protection to external storage devices.
