I want to remove all that is IE.

But I still want to be able to play Counter-Strike: Source.

The thing is that when I remove IE core, whenever I enter a game there will be like 10 popups of "Open with" windows for html documents.

I could live with that, only that it minimizes cs and mostly creates some kind of bug - like the MOTD window not dissappearing.

Maybe I could deny opening html-documents?

But how would I do that?

Check out HFSLIP, specifically FDV's remove-IE, there are also .inf's for restoring MS HTML-Help and an executable that sits in Program Files\Internet Explorer\ - that when called will open up your browser of choice instead.

Not sure if it works for XP, but if not shouldn't be hard to modify the MS Help .inf's
