LazyBoy
How do I make an unattended install with Windows XP Upgrade version? Is it possible to skip that or put some Windows 98/ME files on the customized Windows XP CD so it won't ask me to insert my Win98/WinME CD? Sonic
The unattended mode of Windows XP's setup is just for fresh install (no os must be present already in the partition), you can't make an unattended 'reinstallation' of Windows XP. If you have an upgrade CD, I don't know if unattended setup is possible ... perhaps if the setup is launched from windows with command line ...But you must test your cd on a fresh hard disk (or partition) to view if setup can install windows xp ... jbm
I played around with this awhile ago. you can make an unattended installwith an update xp cd, But it will ask for your qualifying CD during installthe same as a normal install. I never did get it to do a true unattendedinstall. The best I did was to create a tools (I think) dir on the unattended CD.Then when setup asked for the qualifying CD press enter and it continuesafter finding that dir.But there is no need to have an OS already installed to use an upgradeCD

Bezalel
Just create a file named setup.exe in the win98 directory of your CD. You can also edit setupp.ini on the CD.
