BoardBabe Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 During setup of klcodec261f.exe I get the following error (see image), resulting in setup halt.klcodec261f.exe is installed with the following ini file (components):[Setup]Lang=enGroup=K-Lite Codec PackNoIcons=1Components=ffdshow,ffdshow\plugins,ffdshow\vfw,video\xvid,video\3ivx,video\vp6,video\vp7,videovfw\xvid,videovfw\3ivx,videovfw\wmv9vcm,videovfw\vp3,videovfw\vp6,videovfw\vp7,videovfw\indeo\5,videovfw\indeo\4,videovfw\indeo\32,videovfw\i263,videovfw\huffyuv,videovfw\msmpeg4,videovfw\divxmpeg4,audio\mp3,audio\ac3\101a,audio\ac3\boostvolume,audio\vorbis,audio\aac\3ivx,audio\musepack,audio\ape,audio\wavpack,audio\flac,audio\voxware,audio\3ivxenc,audioacm\mp3fhg,audioacm\mp3lame,audioacm\ac3acm,audioacm\divxwma,sourcefilter\mp4,sourcefilter\ogg\oggds,sourcefilter\matroska\haali,sourcefilter\mpeg2\ec,sourcefilter\shoutcast,sourcefilter\matroskamuxer,subtitles\vsfilter\236,compat\g400,compat\divxaf,compat\ivideo,compat\directshow,compat\brokencodecs,compat\brokenfiltersAny idea how to resolve this issue?
rikgale Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 (edited) YepI got this and to fix it....Install K-lite codec before you install Nero. Fixed it for me. I was using Nero 6, but I think that it wont make a difference, jsut change your install order. Rik Edited November 12, 2005 by rikgale
BoardBabe Posted November 12, 2005 Author Posted November 12, 2005 That's a solution yes.Does'nt really fix the problem, but makes setup not halt
rikgale Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 I got a similar issue when I removed the Intel something or other codecs using nLite. Added them back and it worked fine. Other than changing the install order I have no idea howto fix it, but as it has not caused me a probelm sofar, I'll not loose sleep over it
codeblue Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 I to have the same issue but with klcodec262s.exe. I installed swgreed codec pack during Nlite, them Klite during my WPI install. It halted when Klite found several 'bad' codec. So much for the -MakeUnattended option, worked for a while!Just testing now without swgreeds pack
cyberloner Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 (edited) dun install this line,compat\brokenfiltersand tryit is cause by fixcodecs.exeand detect direct show broken direct show filter...else do like me...install k-lite codec 1st and install nero second... won't popup any problem.... codeblue Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 (edited) Even with swgreeds codec pack out and installing it first it still poped up with errors. Thanks cyberloner, took out ,compat\brokencodecs,compat\brokenfiltersfrom the klcps.ini, and testing now.EDIT:Worked like a charm Edited November 13, 2005 by codeblue
BoardBabe Posted November 13, 2005 Author Posted November 13, 2005 Remove those two entries from ini and install order does not matter?
cyberloner Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 only dun install this line,compat\brokenfiltersthat problem won't popupinstall order doesn't matter at all
BoardBabe Posted November 13, 2005 Author Posted November 13, 2005 Removed both and now it works perfect -no annoying halts or messages...
