Exporting Passwords in firefox

Hi

is there any way to save my password file from firefox

or will i have to write them all down

just guessing on this... but if you go to: C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*random*.default\

theres a file called "signons.txt" that seems to be the password file.

i'll do a check now and see what happens when i remove the file and replace the file.

*EDIT* yeap, just backup that file, and that should do it. i removed it and my password box was all empty, put it back in and the password box had all my passwords back.

since this isn't really verified, such as maybe it checks the file for a created date, or soemthin, i would highly recommend writing all the passwords you have, just incase.
