Sonic Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 Okay, I'm stupid !!! I have changed just 3 times the I386 word in SetupLdr.bin ... because I have search for \I386 ... and one has not the first \ ... finally it's works now !another question: When we change the i386 source path ... when XP ask the cd to allow install windows components ... it will search the x:\i386 or the setup source patch like x:\setup\xp\professionnal (example from the guide) ?
chriskoivu Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Are you trying to add drivers? Or apps? or are you trying to set the source and/or target drive?
Sonic Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 @chriskoivu: Sometime XP ask the CD to install optionals components or drivers not present in the installed windows, okay ? and a popup is display to ask "insert CD .... x:\i386"Si when we change the SetupSourcePath I think XP will ask for a CD but with path x:\SETUP\XP\Pro\i386 (form guide example) ...IMHO, I think we must re-set SetupSourcePath to x:\i386 no ?The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SourcePath= is set to what value for persons use a multi dvd ?
