slimzky Posted November 8, 2005 Share Posted November 8, 2005 for some reason my XP wont boot up so when i try to reinstall, it wont let me reformat the drive, it just hangs.. i also wont be able to create a partition... i canot solve this so i decided to install Linux & try to see if it worx... & so what i did was to full reformat the drive.. the linux created a 37gb ext3 & 1.5 gb swap partition... now i have Linux box workin... my question is, Is it possible to recover my previous files on this HDD? even if the file system has been changed from Ntfs to Ext3? there are lots of imporatnt data there, my softwares, mp3's & important documents...thnx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
