breadandbubbles Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 i tried installing MS XP Pro. while in safe mode.yadda yadda yadda.it installs downloads, or configures, or whatevere, reboots, does that whole drive patrrition thingyadda yadda yadda.then it goes into windows and i get a message saying that windows may not install while in safe mode. so i have to reboot. i reboot, and the same thing happens. over and over. to put it in safe mode i used MSCONFIG.Is there anyway to reboot without safemode!?i tried the f8 thing but it just gave me a list of places i can boot from (harddrive, floppy drive, etc.)
IcemanND Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Why are you trying to install XP pro from safe mode? Just boot from the cd and do the install that way.
suryad Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Agreed. Safe mode is prob useful when uninstalling graphics drivers and so on but even then....u can do it without being in safe mode.....
