bledd Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 ok..I've got this bluetooth adaptor, that I usually just integrate the driver for -one inf and one cat file. and it used to work fine, its not worked since about 1.0b's I think..I definatly didn't remove bluetooth support, I did remove all drivers in the 'Drivers' section (bluetooth is not in this section)There's one part of the inf that contains this..[bCBTUsbDriverInstallXP.NT]Include=Bth.infthat bth.in_ is in original i386 folder, but not in my nlited oneI've tried the new nlite twice with the driver, once I integrated it, then second time I didn't -just selected a folder containing the drvier after my windows install was complete. -both times when plugging the device in I get The required section of the inf was not foundhere's what the inf contains [Version]Signature="$WINDOWS NT$"Class=BluetoothClassGuid={e0cbf06c-cd8b-4647-bb8a-263b43f0f974}DriverVer=10/17/2002, Camarade_Tux Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Bump. I've just nlited XP for a friend of mine and took care to keep bluetooth and infrared. However, he can't install his bluetooth device. I've checked on my local copy and found all bth* files were removed. The driver's inf calls bth.inf which copies bthusb.sys, bthusb.sys, bthport.sys. These files are not present in driver.cab on in i386.In fact, all bth files have been removed. Is bluetooth dependant on WLAN drivers ?? bth.7z
bledd Posted August 3, 2006 Author Posted August 3, 2006 nope, its dependant on infraredneed to keep both infrared and bluetoothwhat bluetooth adaptor is it? i've got the driver for the MSI onenote : after messing up my earlier installs, i tried adding the bluetooth files back in, but found it didn't work properly so just redid my whole disc, but kept infrared and bluetooth and it worked fine
Camarade_Tux Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Yes but Bluetooth and infrared are present. But absolutely no bth* file.Last session.ini says bluetooth has not been removed. However I just ran nlite again and in "Components" there is no bluetooth entry. I'm still using XP SP1a. Could it be related ?I'll redo a source asap to be sure. :?
bledd Posted August 3, 2006 Author Posted August 3, 2006 (edited) native bluetooth (and wireless) support was developed a lot in SP2!its an SP2 file-just extracted SP2 to a folderhere;s the files it contains regarding bluetoothhttp://bleddyn.co.uk/forums/bth.7z Edited August 3, 2006 by bledd
Camarade_Tux Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Thanks a lot.I gave that to my friend and he finally solved his problem. He doesn't know exactly how he managed since he was tired (2 AM) but I believe your files helped him.
rocketbird Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 (edited) bledd > Just wanna say thx a lot for your files it helped me to solve my problem. I removed bluetooth, and my CABLE phone manager did not work, I had some OBEX errors. After bluetooth reinstallation it's ok now !Edit : Mmm weird I can now only download files from my phone but not upload .. Edited August 31, 2006 by rocketbird
Camarade_Tux Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Yesterday I made a new CD and tried to keep bluetooth and the bth* files. There is no bth* file on a XP SP1 CD, and the inf from the bluetooth driver of my friend refers to them.So you need SP2 for them I think.I thought "Advanced newtorking pack" for XP (it's an MS update) was enough : it contains most network updates that come with SP2 (Wireless network security, ipv6, MS P2P network...)So it wasn't an nlite problem.(which makes me wonder how somebody can make a driver [and it's not that recent] that can only install on system with XP SP2. )
Camarade_Tux Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 I've just reinstalled an XP SP2 system. The iso has been made with nlite 1.2final.Everything seems to be OK.Just thought I should mention it because I heavily nlitened windows without having problems with bluetooth. //where's my last session.ini gone??
bledd Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 out of interest, did you remove modems and infrared? (my mate has been borrwing my btooth adapter for ages, so not used it with the last few builds!)
Camarade_Tux Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 I removed Modem drivers.(I have a modem in my laptop and it installed fine)Kept infrared.LAST_SESSION.7z
