Ellie Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I am able to get the Spybot Search & Destroy 4.1 application to install silently but on some machines it is prompting for a reboot to complete the installation. I am looking for a way to either suppress the reboot or force it, basically I do not want users to see the reboot prompt from the install. I've already tried the /norestart switch without luck. Any suggestions?
aussiecanuck46 Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I haven't tried it yet, but I'm about to see if the /VERYSILENT switch still works. Give it a go.
Ellie Posted October 11, 2005 Author Posted October 11, 2005 Yes ~ I do mean Version 1.4 ~ I've since learned that if the pc itself is pending a reboot (resulting from a system change) that the software won't even try to install until the reboot is done. The /VerySilent switch was in command line earlier this am when I tested and the results were the same.
