DaveH Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 If you would like the DX 9.0aRedist for Windows Server 2003 please reply to this thread and I will send it to you
gamehead200 Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 This might sound stupid, but is it possible to get the games from XP to Win2k3? Like Solitaire and all that stuff?
Aaron Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 I'm sure it has Solitaire (lol do you play that crap?)Win2k3 isn't a gaming OS, so don't expect Microsoft to support Gaming and Multimedia on Win2k3 and release patches to fix any future problems relating to it. Some users who take this path could probably get stuck in a few months time, and will end up going back to XP.
DaveH Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 Steve Ballmer will personally all people in the neck who try playing games on Windows Server 2003. If you are CAUGHT you will be shot in the neck and sweated all over by the big fat man himself.
gamehead200 Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 Yea, but it would be nice just to have Minesweeper!
gamehead200 Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 Is there a way to reinstall the ntoskrnl.exe in W2K3 Server Enterprise without reinstalling the OS?//edit: Took an hour to figure out, but I got it done! Thank you to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314477 , Method 3!
DaveH Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 I would suggest rather than trying to do stupid computer tricks with Windows 2003, that you RTFM and learn what ERD is, because if you don't know what an emergency repair disk is, or how to create one you shouldn't even TRY deleting NTOSkrnl.exe/dll it's VERY dangerous.
