After installing wireless on to my Laptop it works fine, however after rebooting and loging back in, the wireless still works ok but the system tray wireless connection icon shows that it's not connected, when it is.

where abouts is the registry string for the sys tray wireless icon? I've got a feeling that it's somehow set itself to off.

Cheers

I have that problem sometimes, too; though it is very seldom.

Other times, when XP starts, the little icon will have the little yellow ball scrolling back and forth underneath, and the bubble that appears over the icon states "Acquiring network address..."

I believe this was discussed in an earlier thread; if you do a search for it, you may be able to find it. Just do a search for "Acquiring Network Address"; it should come up. Thus, you might find an answer there...

Hope that is of some help.

Have a look in your LT's wireless utility program or msconfig.
