rover25gti
I made an unnatended XP install a year ago (manual method). It took me 3 weeks to make and a lot of hair loss during it. I now require a new CD due to upgrades to my PC.For the past 2 weeks i have been attempting to use the guides and nLite with little sucess. The problem is, I don't have enough time to read the guide and implement it in the same day, meaning by the time i get around to doing a stage i have forgotten what to do and have to start over.I would like some assistance creating my DVD with as small steps as possible a day at a time making it easier on myself, This could even become an ultimate n00b guide This is what i would "like" to do1. Change the look of the install and perhaps some of the text during install?2. Change the XP wallpapers to personal ones3. Change XP boot screen and log on screen4. Any other visual tweaks that can be made 5. Remove I.E and replace with firefox6. Set up email accounts & broadband dial up auto7. Install all driversAlong with the following programs1. Sidebar2. Peergaurdian 23. PowerDVD4. VLC Player5. Winamp6. Dreamweaver7. Bitlord8. Steam (+ mods)9. Firefox10. Winrar11. Nero 612. MSN 7.513. Photoshop14. Select office programs (word, excell, frontpage etc)15. MSN PlusAnd drivers1. Abit NF7-S motherboard drives (inc sata)2. Soundblaster live 5.13. Radeon 9800 AIW (only display driver and TV)4. Wifi driver (belkin tbc)5. Pentax optio s driversSo would anyone care to help (PLEASE) I'll be doing this the manual way i assumemeantime i'll begin stage 1 - copying contents of XP CD to folder on hard drive. 1boredguy
here's winntbbu.dll, for installation screens. Winntbbu.dll for DUMMIESi used asta's guide (after reading several others), for what you say "select office". asta's guides look at the "7zip Office 2003 Tools" link.use some patience, and the msfn unattended guide will help you install those other apps. just find the switches n00b. with a lot of patience, and searching techniques... everything you asked for is somewhere in the forums (for n00bs and b00bs). MHz
Welcome to MSFN,All that, wow, alot to do.It would be quicker if you read the guide instead of referencing the forum. You will have it done in a small portion of the time and have it done by a set method when using the guide. If you have done this before as stated, then you should be better this time round. Your current problem is...?The noob guide is the MSFN Unattended CD Guide.Various forums can help with the various areas of problems that you may encounter, if you even receive any problems. Use the forum search feature to find any solutions to your presented list can help.Good luck with your project.
