ELRICIOS Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 hey first of all thanks for xpize really makes my comp look prettier i have a strange 100% explorer.exe behaviour that lasts for 3-4 seconds when i try to browse a folder in my lan that has ~900 files in it. it didnt use to happen before xpize and nothing has changed in my hardware. when i first open the folder all the files have the "no known application" icon and they slowly begin to show. does anyone else has this ?
mattofak Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I've seen this happen before, but never after using Xpize...All thats happening is windows is stumbling going through the list of things it needs to do... Check out what your memory situation is like, Xpize might have simply added a huge memory load to your system and its stumbling because of inherent memory latency...
ELRICIOS Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 i have 1 gb Ram, 900mb virtual memory and a 3200+ amd Cpu. dont have any speed problems whatsoever. i forgot to add that its an nlited windows installation but never before had the same problem nlited or not. only after i added xpize through nlite. anyway its a small price to pay for my win to look so nice . i was just wondering if anyone else encountered it
XPero Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Ive been testing XPize in my girly and bro's computers, 2,2Ghz 512MB RAM and 1,4GH 512MB RAM and did not have any noticeable slowdown, even while networkin'. Anyway, thanks for using it and hope this issues go away with next revision.
BoardBabe Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 When will next version be out, and what changes are made?
XPero Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 When will next version be out, and what changes are made?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>No date and no features for now. I think 4.0 has been a pretty nice release, so next one will take some time.
BoardBabe Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Agree. That's why i wondered the one now seems good! at least the special version where PowerDVD works
