Grake Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 hello, got a little problem or annoyance or whatever it may be..my homepage is google, and when i open it up it comes up. How do i make the cursor sit at the search box as soon as i open it? I have to click on it everytime and it's becoming a hassel. I think it used to be on the search box that's why i never noticed it, but lately i have to click to get there.any idea? or is like that for all of you?
ringfinger Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Hmm, thats weird... I have my homepage at google suggest and as soon as the page loads the cursor is in the box blinking.
InTheWayBoy Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Are you using Firefox? I've noticed that in Firefox it does what you explained...no default to the search box. IE and Opera seems to do it...but not Firefox. Of course, if you are using IE or Opera and it's not working, then I have no clue.
ringfinger Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Me too... I'm using 3 different browsers sometimes and they all go to the box.... is the window itself active? Is the title bar highlighted once you open firefox? Something else set to always be on top?
InTheWayBoy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I don't know about his situation, but I normally ran just Firefox, with just one extension...AdBlock. I don't see how that would get in the way, but otherwise I never found a reason. I haven't used Firefox since 1.0.5, so it might be fixed by now...but I switched to Opera so I really don't care. Of course, in Opera I still get a google issue...their ads mess up the Unattended Guide!
Grake Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 no nothing else is on top...I got adblock, bookmark backup, quicknote, and flashgot extension. it's fine on IE though, only FF.
