Maybe a screenshot may make thing clearer.

You can see the shortcuts on the desktop have the xpize icons, but the window doesn't have the visual style.I downloaded the release lite package posted.
XPero Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 You selected Luna + ROyale for install right? Look in desktop properties and see if Luna has the Royale option in color scheme
lepric Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 You selected Luna + ROyale for install right? Look in desktop properties and see if Luna has the Royale option in color scheme<{POST_SNAPBACK}>yup, performed the default install. I'm able to browse to the windows\resources\themes and see the luna theme available. I'm unable to select it from the theme dropdown from display properties, or browse to the theme and manually select it (defaults back to xp theme.)

Look in the color schemes available and search for Royale.

XPero Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 GO to Windows\Resources\themes and apply Luna manually. Look if Royale is available in the color scheme menu. If it is not, the VS hasnt been replaced succesfully. But I thought that bug was fixed in final. Uninstall and try downloading again from my website the final version.

Unfortunately I've already tried a fresh download/uninstall/reinstall Looks like the problem may still exist in the release version.
XPero Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 @XPeroHow come you use the offical royale/I am not taalking about the one Microsoft release for tablet pc users.(That one has the wrong shell styles0Instead have the original luna (dont modify luna at all)amd put in the offical royale found from microsoft new zealand.(its offical, no bugs, and its a zip file for all xp OS's)Combining Luna + Royale has no benifit at all,. it actually slows performance down a bit. When you have luna on its a 4mb file add roylae its 5 or 6. If you are just gonna use royale.Have the 1-2mb file. Faster and easier.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I think it is a good idea to have all the MS visual styles for XP to date in one package. Slowdowns? Where? A normal PC wont suffer any slowdowns for that.PS: Im waiting you at google talk or messenger
