Just installed XPize, but I've noticed that the taskbar/windows aren't updated with the xpize theme. All of the icons/windows logon/etc.. are updated. Any ideas?

Thanks

What do you mean by taskbar/windows? The Visual Style didnt work for you? Using Final XPize release? Maybe a screenshot may make thing clearer.

attached a view of the my computer window. You can see the shortcuts on the desktop have the xpize icons, but the window doesn't have the visual style.

I downloaded the release lite package posted.

You selected Luna + ROyale for install right? Look in desktop properties and see if Luna has the Royale option in color scheme

yup, performed the default install. I'm able to browse to the windows\resources\themes and see the luna theme available.

I'm unable to select it from the theme dropdown from display properties, or browse to the theme and manually select it (defaults back to xp theme.)

The thing is that XPize replaces default luna for luna + royale one. Look in the color schemes available and search for Royale.

Gotchya, neither royale or luna are available options in the color schemes.

GO to Windows\Resources\themes and apply Luna manually. Look if Royale is available in the color scheme menu. If it is not, the VS hasnt been replaced succesfully. But I thought that bug was fixed in final. Uninstall and try downloading again from my website the final version.

Yeah, manually applying the theme doesn't help, royale doesn't show up as an available color scheme. Unfortunately I've already tried a fresh download/uninstall/reinstall :(

Looks like the problem may still exist in the release version.

@XPero

How come you use the offical royale/

I am not taalking about the one Microsoft release for tablet pc users.

(That one has the wrong shell styles0

Instead have the original luna (dont modify luna at all)

amd put in the offical royale found from microsoft new zealand.

(its offical, no bugs, and its a zip file for all xp OS's)

Combining Luna + Royale has no benifit at all,. it actually slows performance down a bit.

When you have luna on its a 4mb file add roylae its 5 or 6. If you are just gonna use royale.

Have the 1-2mb file. Faster and easier.

I think it is a good idea to have all the MS visual styles for XP to date in one package. Slowdowns? Where? A normal PC wont suffer any slowdowns for that.

PS: Im waiting you at google talk or messenger :P
