Are there any problems associated with installing XPize over a system which I've slipstreamed XPize 4 MCE RC onto with the help of nLite? I don't think there should be any problems, but what do I know...

Done it many times, never had a problem.

It doesn't need the backups to run the updater or anything, does it?

Does the updater ADD resources where there are none? I'm asking since I've deleted quite a lot of unneeded bitmaps from a couple of system files, and I don't want to do it all again...
