Can anyone help me on how to install IE6 SP1 /w the use of Selecting the option (like you get on an installation of a normal program, not microsoft)

Like I do want IE6, but don't want OE6 and Microsoft VM.

That's not possible AFAIK, because of Windows File Protection; Setup has to install IE6SP1 along with OE, as its hard-coded into NT operating systems.

There's also the Internet Explorer Administration Kit, allowing you to customize your setup options and distribute via web server/cd-rom/directory on HDD. I've not used it, but it might have the necessary options to let you choose what to install. :)

whats the problem with having OE and JVM?

btw if you don't want to use them you can simply turn to other programs as defaults. it is a nifty feature that M$ added in XP with SP1.
