I had the same problem however my mouse was all over the place. It would go from corner to corner and all around the screen w/o me even touching it. I would try replacing/updating the driver for it, remove it from device mgr and restart. I would also open it up and check all the connections for the mouse. I ended up having to replace mine. Good luck man.

I will not open my laptop. I would loose warrenty and opening it would not fix it.

Wow... thats odd for such a young laptop. If its still under warrenty I'd give the reseller or Acer a call and tell them whats up and maybe they can offer you some suggestions? Mine just simply went out and I replaced it w/o a hitch and its worked fine ever since. Have you been bad to your laptop?? LOL

LOL! Hell no ...! I love this thing! :)

Its really getting my nerves here ... There is no reason why the pointer doesnt move. Cause thats the only problem with it, since the mouse is detected and installed fine!

I understand your pain man... I went through the same thing for a while, I thought I was on crack or something when it started moving all around by itself. Seriously though I'd give the vendor a call and let them know whats up and maybe they can offer you some suggestions. You may end up have to delete or move all the porn to an external drive and send it in to be fixed, LOL. If it was that new though I'd be p***ed too.

My porn will not leave this computer!! :)

I really like this thing to start working tomorrow morning ... since there is no good explanation to this! :(
