trickytwista Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 sorry if this asked before, what it is, is that just bought a ibm thinkpad and considering putting win 2000 on it but what im not sure about is that i see current service pack is sp4? does that mean i gotta DL all previous service pack and install them 1st before using sp4? i know with winxp you dont need sp1 if installing sp2 as sp2 already has sp1 included etc...i never used win2000 so im unsure and was surprised when saw that win2000 sp4 was only 129mb considering xpsp2 was 277mb, thanks in advance guys, appreciated, cheers twista

trickytwista Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 thanks very much, that will be a huge help, you da man
dirtwarrior Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 both 5.0 and 5.1 can be slipstreamed with nlite. 5.0 will fix security in 2k 5.1 will modernize it ie.. direct x, media player, and nicer gui. 5.1 is still in the making but might be worth the wait.BTW when usp is slipstreamed the source is very small cause duplicate files and drivers are elimated. When properly nlited then ZOOOOOM
bledd Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 awesome!, didn't know you can nlite them in too!
