mankind_2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I ran system restore on my windows XP but failed, was told that there were not enough spaces on my system, from thereon i have been experiencing problems, my window brackets disappeared on my taskbar and i couldn't configure my printer driver. what a mess! require valuable opinions. thanks.
cheezus420 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Why did you run System Restore to start with??? Were you haveing problems, or a virus or anything like that???
dirtwarrior Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 delete some prior restore points and try again
chilifrei64 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 yeah.. system restore works fine.. just make sure you have enough space to run the restore.. you will want to make sure you have atleast 15% free space on your c:\ drive to ensure it will be successful
mankind_2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Author Posted September 2, 2005 I wanted to restore my computer to have my error with the Windows media player resolved. I ran microsoft antispyware and accidentally deleted c:\\windows\system32\nsvsvc\license.txt & c:\\windows\system32\nsvsvc files, as a result of that, i couldn't play any contents with media player that require license verification. I lost all my system restore checkpoints after running several system restore procedures.
rjz Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 You might have a backup in ms antispyware and you might also be able to eaily able to reinstall the program.
