Hi, when i boot up my computer i get a message saying: "Limited Virtual Memory - your system has no paging file or the paging file is too small." When i go to the "system properties-peroformance options" it tells me that the total paging file is set to 20mb. When i try to change it the minimum value is already set to 768 max 1536. I checked the drive i have 2.5 gig free space and i have even tryed adding more VM on other drives but no matter what i try it always says 20mb is allocated accross all drives. My computer is a P4 1.6/512ram/win2000

I would disable hibernate feature then go into your vm settings. Put what you want. Don't forget to hit set.

thanks jaclaz,

the second link you provided solved my problem. It was a permissions thing. i had accidently deleted the everyone access on my c: drive which i guess cause the system to not be able to write the page file.........
