remove messenger allow list, how?

I'm using the default Messenger from XP (4.7.3001).

I'd like to delete the My Allow List in Tools > Options >

Privacy.

Can someone tell me how?

The only way you can remove users from that list is if you block them (which they than go to the Block list), or if they delete you from their contact list and you right-click on their names and "Delete" is no longer faded out, then you just remove the name from the list.
