Removing MSNMessenger Advertisement Banner

Use Apatch, it is far better then the mess.be tool

How I did my MSN Messenger 7:

1. Installed it,

2. then ran http://www.apatch.tk/ to patch and modify MSN (This has A LOT more options then the Universal Patcher of Mess.be).

after patching is finished you'll see there are 2 files with a .bak extension in program files\MSN Messenger, these files are backups of the originals. The new files have identical names but with .exe and .dll extension.

3. What does this mean? It means you can simply add these two files (the .dll and .exe) to a SFX rar or 7zip archive and let it extract after you have silently installed MSN Messenger 7 :)

How easy can it be!

first of all, banner is a microsoft implementation and cannot be removed without patch or modifying resourses manually.

second part, mess.be patchers are better and have more options than a-patch

third part. i hate a-patch's advertisement of islam, it's not a place for such a things

TNX all for those the infos.

I noticed also the 2.back files after patching that i have to a SFX the patched files and extract after silentlyafter Messenger installed. But i though there is something new.

@mickmack: I totally agree with you. i hate a-patch's advertisement of islam, it's not a place for such a things
