Can anyone tell me why my computer's name is $˜? It is definitely not set to this.

Does your computer name have any foreign characters in it ?

No it doesn't. The weird characters aren't even suppose to be my computer name. It usually says 127.0.0.1.

If you run "hostname" in command promt, what name does it respond with?
