Yup - imagine the situation where you have a file on your home computer and you need it on your laptop/workstation when you're halfway across the world. Fire up Hamachi (which is already running at home) and you're in! Your computer will see the Windows file shares as though the other computer was right there with you. No need to set up port forwarding, no nonsense. Just to apps running on two computers with internet access.

So grafx1, yes, you can send files over a LAN with Hamachi, but you don't need it at all. :P You're better off just using Windows File Sharing

I say go with DC++, especially since you have it. All you have to do is download YnHub on one of the computers. Set up YnHub, then on the computer that has YnHub, load YnHub and DC++ and in DC++ connect to the hub address 127.0.0.1 and you will connect to your own hub.

To have another computer on the LAN connect to the hub, have him enter your IP address (for example, 192.168.0.101) for the hub address. Donno how to find your IP address? Open the command prompt and type ipconfig

Note: to be in active mode in your own hub, you need to have your LAN IP address (for example, 192.168.0.101) in the settings.
