playing media problems

Featured Replies

:( Im using windows vista 32bit, with soundblaster audigy 2.

Ive installed drivers for the sound card and can hear sounds...

although when i play media either video or audio after about 2 minutes it begins to stutter and crackles, ive tried windows media player, winamp, vlc media player... all the same!

it happens with avi files, mp3s etc... ive tried codec packs and still no luck, but since when do u need a codec pack to play an mp3 :no:

anyone have any ideas wot can be wrong? its not a problem i have had before.

i have AMD 64, 1gb ram, ati radeon with drivers for vista installed :}

Change the sound output device to/from Direct Sound to WAV output. See if that helps. This has worked for some and failed for others.

Man, I had the same problem too...

Altho my driver installed successfully, my "Creative Control Volume" wont start but just gives me an error

said "The audio device supported by this application is not detected."

if so, how can i change the Output into WAV? Through original volume control?

Plz help

ps i tried reinstall my driver many times already, but still no hope

i guess Creative needs to create a new driver set like nVidia and ATI did. Just for Vista.
