dy1yp Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 MS promise that the installtion time of Windows Vista well be less than 15 minutes. and we know the setup of Longhorn is very different to WindowXP, something like Ghost. Anyone know how to make a Winxp installtion CD just like Longhorn CD?
Blam-O! Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 i can't believe you asked that, search the site some more and make sure this is the right place for you.....
Aegis Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 It is the right place. Ximage is the program to extract the .WIM files (the image file Vista uses to install Windows). Currently there is no program to extract these kinds of files. Ximage is still in beta and all leaked versions can only extract the 4000 builds.
raskren Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 As of right now, ximage is warez.Expect a full release of a WIM extractor/modifier/creator by the time Beta 2 comes around.
Redcloud Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 XImage is also an extraction/transfer program for users of Garmin GPS devices which load images off and onto the GPS device.
