rikgale Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 If you've formatted as well as installed the chances are that this file have been over written with the new data that you've added onto the drive. You mite be able to get them back if you were to send the drive away to an expert data recovery specialist but that woul be an very expensive option.
ectavares Posted July 23, 2005 Author Posted July 23, 2005 First, thanks your help but is there any way that I could do this expensive work?Is there a way to learn how to do it here at my house for instance?thx again
chilifrei64 Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 you can try a program called restorationhttp://www.snapfiles.com/opinions/Restorat...estoration.htmlIf that doesnt work then yeah.. you will need to get professionals to do the work.As for how the professionals to the work. I know they use expensive equipment .
xrobwx71 Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 (edited) You can try Spinrite for about $90.I bought it and have had success recovering lost files. No promises though. I have never tried to recover a "formatted" drive. Just read the FAQ at the link I provided.Robhttp://www.grc.com/sr/faq.htm Edited July 23, 2005 by xrobwx
