techguy21801 Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 i have recently acquired a version of OS/2 and i was going to load it onto a test machine just for fun, but i wanted to know is there any point to do that is it worth it?
LS_Dragons Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 It is only worth it if you have an application that was written specifically for it - and very few (if any) have been written in many uears. If not - you will get nothing out of the experiment.LS_Dragons
techguy21801 Posted February 4, 2003 Author Posted February 4, 2003 cool that saves me the time and trouble . also i have a copy of peanut linux is there any worth in that as well?
Doggie Posted February 5, 2003 Posted February 5, 2003 personally.. i think its not good.. i've either chosen Lindows or Windows.. they are both good OS's
Aaron Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 QNX is a fun OS to play around with, its got a very nice GUI, but the fun doesn't last, because of its lack of applications. www.qnx.comIf you're new to Linux, give Mandrake/Lindows/SuSE a try. www.linuxiso.org (btw, Lindows is commercial so you won't find it at Linuxiso)
