July 19, 200521 yr Not to rub salt in the wound but.....Why not use the Setup disk that comes with the new HDD????? I mean, how do we know that the new HDD will WORK in the new system... you know... BIOS limitations and all... He might even have to insta EZBoot or a similer program from the setup disk...EVERY HDD manufacturer has a Drive to Drive copier.. works great, or they wouldn't use it.... plus it is even graphical and it tells you what to do... step by step... no knowleedge needed....
July 19, 200521 yr Author so you are saying that my new drive will come with software that will allow me to completely ghost my old drive onto the new drive?? what drives come with such software?
July 19, 200521 yr The new drives I buy do not have the software you are talking about, but it sounds promising. With the ghost that I use you do not need to even format the drive or anything, as long as your motherboard and bios sees the drive so will ghost, you do a disk to disk copy and thats that, the new drive will be a full drive too, not just he size of the copied drive.@ ToasterMax, I replied to your PM
