I bought an oem edition of Windows XP Home Edition.

Can I load it on my 3 machines I own.

Do they (Microsoft) have a way to stop you.

Nope...One disk per computer according to M$.

Once you install the Os it will ask, and when i say ask i mean force, you to activate it. This will call M$ view internet or over the phone, it ill then take down all the hardware you have and give u a unique code to activate your software. THis cannot be done on several computers, its aginst legal polocy and simple cant be done without cracks and fake serials....

Out of curiosity - how did you go about 'buying' an OEM copy of Windows XP. Those are not legally able to be sold. If you bought it from an individual, that would explain - but in that case you probably got ripped and may not be able to install it at all. If they have already installed and activated it, you will be forced to deal with M$ over the phone to try and activate.
