beeboy Posted January 26, 2003 Share Posted January 26, 2003 If you changed your cdrom d drive to say x drive your puter probably wont find it when you go to use it. nobodyveryspecial Posted January 27, 2003 Share Posted January 27, 2003 okay - in windows xp.....press start, right click on my computer - click on Manageunder computer management - with subdirectory Storage, click on Disk Managementa split view should appear with your harddrives up top and your disk configuration beneath....the configuration part displays your cdroms and harddrives - right click on the cdrom that you want to change and click on Change Drive Letter and Paths... - click on change, and select the letter you wantthis cant be done with the root drive (ie.. C:) - but if you want to change the drive letter to something already picked by a secondary drive - change the secondary drive to z: and then change the cdrom to the letter that you wanted - then fix up the secondary drive... simple Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
