maniaq Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 hey i have a problem that bugs very much :my videos arent showing very good, it is beeing showed but the quatily is is wery very bad. i don't understand i use k-lite mga codec pack 2.50 full and divx6, also i have slippsteamed wmp10 with Gnome's WMP10 Complete Slipstreamer, i also have include to the install ryanvm's java and dotnetfx witch i install before the k-lite and divx,,ooohhh btw i also use ryanvm's update pack....i think it because of the no WMP9 Files (at ryanvm's homepage) ,but at the Gnomes topic it is said that:RyanVM Update Pack Users: 1)Run the slipstreamer after integrating RyanVM Pack.2)The no WMP9 cab is not required (credit: boooggy)so where is the problem???????
MHz Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Video playback has alot to do with video drivers. Are you using nVidia or ATI? Version of driver?Codecs can conflict. I would assume that the mega pack would have divx support already? xvid also, can decode divx.

I would assume that the mega pack would have divx support already? xvid also, can decode divx.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>i use nvida drivers 77.72 and i have slipstreamed them.a strange thing happened: a few weeks ago everything worked fine... oohh sorry i dont use the mega pack i use the simple codec pack full i tried to install the codec pack only but there is the same problem, can it because of the windows media video hardware acceleration??

Well, check the tip here. nVidia seems to make some bad versions at times.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Thanks for the tip!My video playback looked like negative film.This suggestion corrected it.Only playback on my computer screen was affected.Playback on the TV output was still correct.So much for 'signed' drivers not giving you a problem.I guess every software is actually just a beta till the next release.Shark Edited July 10, 2005 by Shark007
