Well....here is something for the experts. My "kernells" and "dlls" have mutinied. I have been told that this is very serious. How do I fix it? I have XP Pro as OS. When I go on the internet, most of the time I cannot access any hyperlinks. My search button under my start menu has stopped working. I got a message last night from my Norton firewall that someone was trying to access my computer. Do I have a trojan? (That's a funny name for an invader. I thought Trojans were supposed to protect you.) Anyway, How do I look to see if I have a Trojan?

I also get a messge from my computer sometimes that it's starting a physical memory dump. This message comes up on a blue screen. I know when the blue screen shows up it's time for to break out the defibullater. I really need some help here.

Sounds like you have serious coruption on your system. You might wanna try to do a system repair. You can do this by puting the Xp pro disk in restarting and booting from it...it will give you options format, install xp and Repair..choose repair...and go from there.

It's not uncommon that someone is trying to access your computer, that's why you have the firewall enabled.Your firewall took care of it.As for the trojan you need to run up to date antivirus software to find it.I agree with Drew, that system repair could restore system files to a non corrupt state. Also if your system was running fine say earlier in the week you can run the Win XP system restore feature. It's in Start/All Programs/accessories/system tools. And there is always "scannow /sfc" typed in the run command with the xp cd inserted.Let us know if you need more help I'm sure there is a solution that will get you up and running again.
