hakeem5454 Posted June 23, 2005 Author Posted June 23, 2005 but i have 246 shouldnt that be enough?and i started it once and it worked, but only once the other times it gave me the memory error
jondercik Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 no its not even close. To start a virtual machine VMware allocates whatever amount you chose to give the guest OS from your current physical RAM. If you machine only has 246(?) MB of ram, there is no way to start up anything but a DOS host OS without running out of memory.
Zxian Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 512MB will do the trick for basic UACD testing. If you're actually going to use the VM as a computer (i.e. bring it to full screen and expect some speed) I'd get 1GB.
