Your Computer Is Now Safe To Turn Off

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I have just upgraded a pals computer to win2k and I cant it to turn off without this infuriating message and pushing the power button. It always turned off happily under 98 well as happy as any machine using 98! I have upgraded to the latest bios and win2k has all service packs and drivers up to date. I'm sure its pretty simple can someone put me out of my misery.

I cant really help solve this issue but I had the same problem when I ran 2000. I know it has to due with a power issue in the bios, I assume. It might point you in the right direction but hold on the rest of the crew Will solve this one for you. Sorry I could be more of assistance.

Guys?????

Try this...

Goto Control Panel>Power Options then click the Tab "APM"

And Tick Enable Advance Power Managment
